If music feeds your soul and you are looking for a variety of genres to sing, rap, or write to, then I'm your guy. Soul Lab Music LLC not only creates beats and grooves for artists, but we also create music for corporations, gamers, and commercials to name a few.

Michael began his passion for music in his native St. Paul, Minnesota at the age of five. Michael's father, Reverend Carl Walker brought Gospel music to the Twin Cities in the late 1950s from East St. Louis, Illinois, and co-founded Walker West Music Academy with Grant West and also founded along with his wife Linda Walker, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. 

 

Michael grew up with his four brothers in a house that was filled with music, laughter, and love. His father taught piano to several artists such as Stokely Williams, Larry Waddell, Jeff Allen, and Kerry Lewis from Mint Condition, and countless others. Minnesota has always been known for its Minnesota Sound that was pioneered by Prince, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, The Revolution, Mint Condition, and Sounds of Blackness just to name a few. 

 

While attending the Academy of Art University, this is where Michael learned the many opportunities that music production has to offer to artists and businesses. Michael plays the keys, the bass, works with the MPC, Talk Box, and can program & mix.

Michael and his wife Mercedes founded Soul Lab Music LLC in 2021 because of their love for music and passion for helping others.
